Description

Twelve red roses in a clear glass vase with water, a teddy bear, and a box of chocolates. The vase is included. That green badge on the product photo is there for a reason. Most of the rose bunches in this collection arrive as stems that need a vase from the recipient. This product arrives ready to display. Ninth most popular across all of Bali, first to Canggu and second to Seminyak.

$92.00 USD. Same day delivery, seven days a week, across all Bali locations including Kuta, Ubud, Denpasar, Nusa Dua, Legian and Sanur. Twelve red roses arrive arranged in a glass vase with a teddy bear and assorted chocolates.

What Arrives

Twelve red roses standing upright in a clear rectangular glass vase filled with water. The roses are deep classic red, partially open with centres still spiralling. Green rose foliage fills the spaces between stems and the stems are visible through the glass. The arrangement fans out naturally at the top because the vase holds the stems in a loose cluster that lets each rose find its own angle. Beside the vase sits the tan teddy bear with a plaid bow. In front, an open-topped box of assorted milk and dark chocolates. Four items total: vase, roses, bear, chocolates.

First in Canggu, Second in Seminyak

Canggu runs from Batu Bolong at the southern end through Berawa into Pererenan at the north. The whole corridor is villa territory. Rental villas, long-stay villas, co-living spaces. The people who live in Canggu for months at a time furnish their rented kitchens with the basics. Plates, glasses, a blender for smoothie bowls. What they do not have is a flower vase. And when somebody sends them a bunch of twelve red roses, they spend ten minutes looking through cupboards for something tall enough before settling on a water jug or a beer glass.

That is why this product outsells every other item in the collection to Canggu. The sender does not need to wonder whether the recipient owns a vase. The vase arrives with the roses, filled with water, arranged and ready to sit on a table. In an area where almost nobody owns their accommodation and almost everybody's kitchen is somebody else's kitchen, the included vase removes the one friction point that turns a thoughtful gift into a logistical problem.

Seminyak is slightly different. There are more boutique hotels and serviced villas where the front desk can usually find a vase if needed. That is why this product ranks second in Seminyak rather than first. The vase problem is less acute. But for the Seminyak customers who are staying in private rentals or Airbnbs, the same logic applies. The included vase makes the delivery complete.

Ay Ayu Owner, Sunny Florist Bali

People assume the most expensive combo sells best in the wealthiest areas. Nusa Dua resorts, Uluwatu cliff villas, the places where money is least of a concern. It does not. This product ranks ninth across all of Bali and its strongest areas are Canggu and Seminyak, which are younger, more casual, and less resort-oriented than Nusa Dua or Jimbaran. Ayu pulled the order data in early 2023 and found the pattern was consistent across every month for two years. The reason had nothing to do with wealth. It had to do with accommodation type. Canggu and Seminyak buyers are overwhelmingly sending to people in rental villas and shared living spaces. The sender knows the recipient does not own a vase because the recipient does not own anything in that villa. The $92 price point is not about luxury. It is about solving a practical problem that the $72 bunch version cannot solve. The people spending the extra $20 are not showing off. They are thinking ahead.

The $20 Difference

The 12 Red Roses Bunch + Teddy + Chocs at $72 delivers the same twelve roses, the same bear, and the same chocolates. The roses arrive as a hand-tied bunch. The recipient needs a vase. This product adds the vase and charges $20 more for it.

Twenty dollars is the cost of solving the vase problem permanently. For this delivery, for the next time someone sends flowers, and for the time after that. The vase stays in the villa or the apartment or wherever the recipient is living. It becomes part of the kitchen inventory. Future bunches that arrive without a vase go straight into this one. That is why the reorder rate on this product skews toward the bunch version the second time around. The first order includes the vase. Every order after that does not need to.

Ayu noticed this pattern in the order data: customers who buy this product first rarely buy it again. They switch to the $38 bunch or the $72 bunch combo for their next order. The vase from the first delivery is already sitting on the recipient's table.

Ay Ayu Owner, Sunny Florist Bali

"The vase delivery has its own process. I fill the vase with water at the shop, arrange the twelve roses, then wrap the entire thing in cellophane for transport. Kadek carries it upright on the motorbike in a custom holder we built from a plastic crate and foam padding. The crate sits on the rear rack and the foam grips the vase base so it cannot slide. We tested this for three months in 2016 before I was confident enough to offer it. The first version tipped twice on the road to Berawa and I lost six roses and half the water. The second version used deeper foam. Still tipped once on a speed bump near Batu Bolong. The third version added a strap across the top of the vase. That one has never tipped. Every vase delivery since 2016 has used that system. It costs me an extra fifteen minutes per delivery because Kadek rides slower with the vase than with a wrapped bunch. But the product arrives with water at the right level and every rose standing where I placed it. That is what the $20 extra actually pays for. The vase itself costs me very little. The delivery infrastructure cost me three months and a lot of broken roses."

Four Items, Zero Recipient Effort

Most gift combos in the collection need something from the person receiving them. The bunch versions need a vase. The kraft paper combo needs unwrapping and a container. Even the boxed arrangement needs the recipient to decide where to put the box.

This product needs nothing. The roses are arranged in the vase. The water is in the vase. The bear sits beside it. The chocolates sit in front. Kadek places the vase on the nearest flat surface, positions the bear and chocolates, and leaves. The recipient walks in and sees a complete display. No unwrapping, no trimming stems, no hunting through cupboards. The gift is already finished.

For senders ordering from overseas, that matters. They cannot call the recipient and say "by the way, do you have a vase?" without spoiling the surprise. They cannot know for certain what the recipient's kitchen looks like. With this product they do not need to know. Everything arrives ready.

Why Ninth Overall

At $92 this is the highest priced combo in the red rose range. Most customers start shopping at the lower end. The 3 Roses + Teddy at $41 covers the basics. The triple combo at $56 adds chocolates. The twelve-rose bunch combo at $72 doubles the count. This product sits at the top of that ladder and still ranks ninth out of seventy-plus products. That tells you something about the buyers. They are not browsing. They are not comparing prices. They have decided to send the most complete version of roses plus bear plus chocolates and the vase closes the deal.

I started this business in 2013 from a small shop on Jl. Camplung Tanduk in Seminyak with Kadek handling every delivery on one motorbike. Back then I made every arrangement myself and I still make every arrangement myself now. This product takes the longest to prepare because I am building a display piece rather than tying stems. The roses go into the vase at slightly different heights so the blooms fan out in a dome rather than sitting flat. The foliage fills the lower half of the arrangement where the stems show through the glass. It takes about fifteen minutes from start to vase, compared to five minutes for a hand-tied bunch. That time shows in how the product looks when it arrives.

Who Sends This

Partners sending to someone living in a Canggu villa who they know does not own a vase. Anniversary senders who want roses, a keepsake, and chocolates with zero friction for the recipient. Birthday orders from overseas where the sender wants the gift to arrive as a complete display. Valentine's Day buyers who want the full package with no compromises. Anyone sending to a rental property, an Airbnb, a shared living space, or any address where a flower vase is unlikely to be available.

For roses without extras, see the rose collection. For gift combos at lower price points, browse the gifts range. For arrangements in foam or boxes that also need no vase, see the arrangement collection.

Care

The roses arrive already arranged in the vase with water. No trimming or arranging needed on day one. On day three, lift the roses out of the vase, change the water completely, and trim half a centimetre from each stem at a diagonal before replacing them. Strip any foliage that has dropped below the waterline. Repeat on day five. The roses should hold colour and form through day six or seven in a cool spot away from direct sunlight and ceiling fans. Air conditioning extends vase life by a day or two compared to a warm open-air villa. The bear requires no care. Chocolates should be eaten within a day or two of arrival.
