I'm Ayu, and I actually worked at a resort in Ubud for two years before opening Sunny Florist Bali in 2013. So I know those winding roads, the rice terraces, the resorts tucked away in the hills. It's short ride from our shop but we deliver there constantly, actually 7 days a week, thanks to our awesome courier Kadek (my husband). Whether you're sending flowers for someone's milestone birthday at Alaya Resort or surprising your partner at their jungle villa, we've got you covered. Order online, WhatsApp or call me now.
Ubud is about an hour from our shop in Seminyak, sometimes longer if there's an accident on the main road or a ceremony blocking traffic, which happens more than you'd think. I'm Ayu, I run and own Sunny Florist Bali with my husband Kadek who does deliveries when he's not working construction, and our three year old Wayan who thinks supervising counts as helping.
I worked at a fancy resort in Nusa Dua for two years before I opened this place in 2013. Back then I was making identical arrangements for VIP rooms, everything had to look exactly like the photo in the brochure. I got fast at it but bored too. Now I deliver there as a business owner, which feels full circle somehow. Walking into those resort lobbies on the other side of things.

An Australian man called in August, his wife was turning 60 at Alaya Resort Ubud. He was stuck in Sydney, couldn't make the trip, felt terrible about it. She'd gone with their daughter instead, mother-daughter holiday, which was lovely but he still wanted to do something. Could we deliver flowers to her room on her birthday morning?
He wanted something special, said she loved tropical flowers. I made an arrangement with local Balinese blooms, frangipani, hibiscus, some orchids I'd managed to get that week. The card message was long, all about how sorry he was for missing it, how proud he was of her, how sixty looked beautiful on her. You could tell he really meant it.
Kadek delivered it early, before breakfast. The daughter sent us a photo later, the mum holding the flowers on their private balcony overlooking the rice terraces, huge smile on her face. The Australian man emailed to say thank you, said his wife called him crying happy tears. Those orders make the long drive to Ubud worth it.
We deliver all over Ubud but it takes planning because the distance means we can't do multiple trips like we can for Seminyak or Canggu. The main hotel strip along Jalan Raya Ubud. Down towards the rice terraces. Up in the hills where the expensive villas are.
Resorts we deliver to are Alaya Resort Ubud, obviously, but also Komaneka at Bisma, Maya Ubud Resort & Spa, Viceroy Bali up in the hills, Hanging Gardens with the famous infinity pool, Royal Pita Maha, Kamandalu Ubud. The Kayon Jungle Resort which is stunning, all jungle and pools. Also smaller guesthouses and homestays tucked away on the side streets.
Restaurants less often because people eating in Ubud are usually focused on healthy food and yoga, not flowers. But we've delivered to Locavore when someone wanted to impress their partner, Mozaic for anniversaries, Clear Cafe for birthday brunches. Also yoga retreats and wellness centers, which is very Ubud.
The vibe in Ubud is different from the beach areas. More spiritual, more wellness focused. People go there to reset, to think, to do yoga every morning and eat clean and journal about their feelings. So flower orders to Ubud often have a different tone. More heartfelt somehow.
Birthdays happen a lot, especially milestone ones like that Australian woman's 60th. Ubud feels like the right place to turn 40 or 50 or 60, somewhere meaningful rather than just a party. The card messages are always longer, more emotional.
Mother's Day is big in Ubud too. Mums treating themselves to wellness retreats, their kids sending flowers with grateful messages. We delivered to Kamandalu last Mother's Day maybe ten times, apparently every mum in Bali was doing yoga there.

Anniversary orders come up often because Ubud is romantic in a different way from the beach. Villas with jungle views, private pools, that whole spiritual connection thing couples go for. Our 12 Red Roses with 3 Calla Lilies arrangement works perfectly there, elegant without being too flashy.
Thank You flowers happen constantly in Ubud. For yoga teachers, for wellness retreat leaders, for the villa staff who made everything peaceful. People in Ubud seem more grateful generally, maybe the rice terraces and meditation make them reflective.
We get Love & Romance orders but less than Canggu or Seminyak. Ubud is more about inner peace than passionate romance, though both exist there. When we do get romance orders they're usually thoughtful, the 6 Red Rose Bunch rather than 24 roses, quality over quantity.
I always suggest Balinese flowers for Ubud because they fit the vibe better. Frangipani, jasmine, tropical blooms that smell incredible and feel authentic. Ubud guests seem more open to local flowers than beach area tourists who mostly want roses.
The 12 Red Roses with 3 Calla Lilies arrangement does well for special occasions. For something simpler the 6 Red Rose Bunch works beautifully. The 3 Wrapped Red Roses are perfect for small gestures.
We deliver to Ubud three or four times a week usually, sometimes more during busy seasons. Because of the distance we batch deliveries when possible. Same day delivery works if you order early, before 10am ideally. After that it depends on whether we already have an Ubud run planned.
For resort deliveries I need full names and room numbers. For villas I need proper directions because Ubud addresses can be confusing, lots of unmarked roads and hidden driveways. Google Maps pins help massively.
Cards included, I write them myself. Most Ubud cards are longer and more heartfelt than beach area orders, people really pour their feelings out. I don't mind, I like knowing what these flowers mean to people.
We've been delivering to Ubud since 2013. I worked there, I know the roads, I understand what guests expect. When you order from Sunny Florist Bali you get me making your flowers with care, Kadek driving an hour to deliver them properly, both of us making sure this works out. If you need flowers in Ubud, we're here.
