I'm Ayu, and we've been delivering to Sanur for twelve years now, three or four times weekly from our local Bali flower shop. One customer orders from us every Thursday for eight months straight, same flowers, same routine. Sanur's different from the beach club areas, quieter, more established expats who've lived there decades. Wayan begs to come on Sanur deliveries to watch the fast boats to Nusa Penida. We know the streets, the community, the pace there. WhatsApp me directly on 62 813-3862-5637.
Wayan loves it when we deliver to Sanur because he gets to see the fast boats. He sits in his car seat pointing at them, yelling "boat! boat!" while Kadek tries to navigate the beachfront road traffic. Sometimes we stop for five minutes just to watch them leave for Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan, tourists cramming on with their backpacks and sunburn. It's the only delivery area where Wayan actually begs to come along.
I'm Ayu. Sanur is about forty minutes from our Seminyak shop at 8557+88J, Jl. Camplung Tanduk, longer if the Sanur bypass is backed up which it often is. We deliver there regularly, maybe three or four times a week, sometimes more. Sanur feels different from Canggu or Seminyak. Quieter. Older. More established. The expat community there has been around for decades, not just a few years. You can feel the difference.

The fast boats are just part of it. Sanur has this calm, settled energy that other beach areas don't. Families walking the beachfront path at sunset. Older couples having breakfast at Massimo watching the ocean. People who moved to Bali in the 90s and stayed, bought houses, became part of the community properly. When someone orders flowers to Sanur it often feels more considered, less impulsive than beach club areas.
You can call or WhatsApp me on 62 813-3862-5637, I answer personally most of the time.
A Scottish woman orders from us every Thursday, has done for about eight months now. She lives in Sanur full time, moved there after her husband died three years ago. She orders the same thing each week, our 6 Red Rose Bunch, delivers to her house on Jalan Danau Tamblingan. The card always says "For James" which I assume was her husband.
First time she ordered I thought it was a one-off. Second time seemed like a coincidence. By the fourth week I realised this was her routine. She called once to thank us, said having fresh flowers in the house made her feel less alone, that James always bought her flowers on Thursdays when he was alive. I got emotional on the phone, tried to hide it, failed completely.
Kadek delivers them himself every Thursday now, always asks how she's doing. Last month she invited him in for tea, showed him photos of her life in Scotland, her grandchildren who visit twice a year. He came back to the shop quite moved by the whole thing. That's Sanur though, deeper connections happen there.
We deliver all over Sanur but mostly along the main strips. Jalan Danau Tamblingan where the Scottish woman lives. Jalan Danau Poso. Down towards Sindhu Beach. The beachfront path area where the hotels are.
Hotels we deliver to are Maya Sanur Resort & Spa, Griya Santrian, Tandjung Sari which has been there forever, Sudamala Suites & Villas, Puri Santrian, The Pavilions Bali. Also smaller guesthouses and long-term rental houses where expats actually live, not just holiday.
Restaurants we deliver to sometimes are Massimo for Italian food, Warung Mak Beng which is a Sanur institution, Three Monkeys Sanur, Char Ming for Asian food, The Fire Station which everyone loves. Beach clubs are less common in Sanur, it's not that scene, but we've delivered to Segara Village for events.
Also private homes constantly because Sanur has a huge expat population who actually own property there. They're not renting villas monthly like Canggu, they've bought houses, settled in, made Sanur home properly.
Birthdays in Sanur tend to be milestone ones. 60th, 70th, even 80th. The expat community there skews older, lots of retirees. Last month we delivered to a 75th birthday lunch at Massimo, the whole friend group was there, must have been twenty people. The birthday woman was lovely, came to our shop the next week to say thank you in person, brought Wayan a small toy car which he still plays with daily.
Anniversary orders happen often because Sanur is where couples go when they're past the party phase. They want calm, good food, sunset walks on the beach path. We delivered to a 40th anniversary at Maya Sanur last year, the couple had been coming to Bali for anniversaries since the 80s, watched Sanur change over decades. The card message was beautiful, all about growing old together and Bali being their constant. I definitely cried writing that one out.
Thank You flowers come up constantly in Sanur because the community there helps each other. Someone watched someone's house while they flew back to Australia. Someone drove someone to the hospital. Someone helped with paperwork or introduced someone to a good doctor. The expat network in Sanur is tight, gratitude matters there.
I'm Sorry flowers happen but less than Canggu. Sanur couples seem more settled, fewer dramatic fights needing flower apologies. When we do get those orders they're usually sincere, the 12 Red Roses with 3 Calla Lilies arrangement, thoughtful rather than panicked.
Mother's Day is huge in Sanur, different energy than other areas. Lots of expat women who are mothers themselves, their kids back in Australia or UK or wherever, sending flowers to say thank you. Also mums visiting Sanur, staying with their expat children, getting flowers from grandchildren. Multi-generational stuff that hits differently.
Last month we delivered to a house near Sindhu Beach, woman's 65th birthday, her daughter in Perth had organized it. Wayan came along because Kadek had promised him boat watching time. We arrived early, Wayan was restless, kept asking about the boats. The birthday woman answered the door, saw Wayan, melted completely. She's a grandmother, misses her grandchildren terribly, invited Wayan in while Kadek got the flowers from the car.
Wayan charmed her for ten minutes talking about his toy cars and the boats and whatever three year olds talk about. She took photos, sent them to her daughter apparently, said Wayan made her birthday. Kadek came back to find them drawing together at her kitchen table. We stayed maybe twenty minutes total, way longer than normal deliveries, but it felt right.
The 6 Red Rose Bunch does surprisingly well in Sanur. Simple, classic, affordable. The weekly Scottish woman orders prove you don't need massive bouquets to make an impact.
For bigger occasions the 12 Red Roses with 3 Calla Lilies arrangement is perfect. Elegant, mature, suits the Sanur vibe. The 24 Red Roses works for major anniversaries but Sanur customers rarely go that showy.
Balinese flowers work beautifully in Sanur. Frangipani, jasmine, hibiscus. The older expat crowd appreciates authentic local flowers, they've been in Bali long enough to value that.
We deliver to Sanur three or four times weekly, batch deliveries when possible because of the distance. Same day delivery works if you order before 10am. After that depends on our schedule.
For house deliveries I need proper addresses, Sanur streets can be confusing. Hotels are straightforward. Cards included, I write them by hand. Sanur card messages tend to be longer, more heartfelt.
WhatsApp me on 62 813-3862-5637 if you need anything. Most Sanur orders come from Australia or UK, time zones don't bother me.
We've been doing this since 2013. When you order from Sunny Florist Bali you get me making your flowers, Kadek delivering them, sometimes Wayan coming along for boat watching. We care about getting it right. If you need flowers in Sanur, we're here.
