Sunny Florist Kuta: Same Flower Day Delivery

Hi, I'm Ayu. I own Sunny Florist Bali from our little shop in Seminyak, about a few minutes from Kuta depending on traffic (and there's always traffic). I've been delivering flowers to Kuta since 2013, back when I was doing all the deliveries myself with a newborn baby in tow. Whether you're sending birthday flowers to someone at the Hard Rock Hotel or surprising your partner at their beachfront villa, we've got you covered. Order online or give me a call, you can even send me a message on WhatsApp and my English is excellent.

Sunny Florist Kuta

Kuta is ten minutes from our flower shop in Seminyak if there's no traffic, which means it's usually thirty minutes. I'm Ayu, I run Sunny Florist Bali with my husband Kadek and our three year old Wayan who thinks he's in charge. I've been delivering flowers to Kuta since 2013 when I first opened this place, back when I was doing all the deliveries myself because we couldn't afford to pay anyone.

Kuta gets a bad reputation sometimes. Too touristy, too busy, too many tipsy Australians. But I've always liked it. It's honest about what it is. Nobody's pretending Kuta is some undiscovered paradise, it's just Bali's most famous beach with good surf and cheap beer and families on holiday.

My First Kuta Delivery

My first ever delivery outside Seminyak was to Kuta. A guy called from Singapore, his wife was staying at the Hard Rock Hotel with their kids while he had to fly back for work. He wanted flowers delivered to their room as a surprise. I was so nervous I got there forty minutes early and sat in the lobby with the flowers getting anxious that they'd wilt in my hands. The wife loved them though. She took a photo and sent it to him, he emailed me later to say thank you. That email is probably still in my inbox somewhere, I never delete anything.

Since then I've delivered to Kuta hundreds of times. Maybe thousands, I haven't counted.

Where We Deliver

We deliver pretty much anywhere in Kuta. The main hotel strip along Jalan Pantai Kuta. Down towards the airport near Tuban. Up towards Legian which is basically Kuta but slightly quieter.

Hotels we deliver to constantly are Hard Rock Hotel, The Stones Hotel, Discovery Kartika Plaza, Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, Harper Kuta. Poppies Bali where the bungalows are tucked away and somehow quiet despite being right in the middle of everything. All those guesthouses and homestays on the smaller gang alleys that tourists find on Booking.com.

Restaurants too, though less than you'd think. We've delivered to Made's Warung (the original one), Takeaway Pizza, and Boardwalk Restaurant right by the beach. Also Kopi Pot which does breakfast and has been there forever. Beach clubs like Finn's Beach Club Kuta location. Even the beach once, which was complicated, sand gets everywhere and there's no proper address.

Why People Send Flowers to Kuta

Birthdays come up constantly. Kuta gets a lot of family holidays, so someone's always turning eight or eighteen or forty. We delivered to a kid's birthday party at Waterbom Park once, the mum wanted flowers for the cabana they'd rented. Wayan was so jealous when I told him about the water slides.

Happy Holiday orders are massive in Kuta. People sending flowers to friends or family who are on vacation. "Hope you're having an amazing time" type messages. Sometimes it's someone who couldn't make the trip sending flowers to the group that did. Sometimes it's grandparents sending flowers to their kids and grandkids.

I'm Sorry flowers go to Kuta a lot too. Someone forgot something. Someone said something on day two of the holiday and now it's day four and they're still in trouble. Kadek says half his Kuta deliveries are apology flowers, I think he's exaggerating but not by much. Holidays are stressful, people fight, flowers help.

Last year we delivered to the Hard Rock Hotel maybe fifteen times just in February alone. Valentine's week is always chaos but Kuta goes extra hard. One guy ordered flowers three days in a row to the same room. Kadek said probably messed up badly and was making up for it. The flowers worked apparently, the guy emailed to say thanks and they're engaged now.

Anniversaries happen too, though Kuta isn't usually where you go for romance. But people make it work. Dinner on the beach, watching the sunset, flowers delivered to the room beforehand. One couple we delivered to had been coming to Kuta for their anniversary for twenty years, same hotel. They ordered from us four times over different trips.

What Actually Works for Kuta

The 3 Wrapped Red Roses do really well. They're romantic without being overwhelming, they fit in a small hotel room, they don't cost a fortune. Perfect for someone who wants to do something nice without going overboard.

For birthdays the 12 Red Roses with 3 Calla Lilies arrangement is popular. It's big enough to feel special but not so massive it takes over the entire hotel room. The 6 Red Rose Bunch works for casual orders. Someone just being thoughtful. Someone who forgot until the last minute and needs something quick.

We also do local Balinese flower arrangements with frangipani, hibiscus, jasmine. They smell better than roses. They last longer in Bali heat. But people want roses because that's what they know, so mostly I make roses. I throw in local flowers when I can though.

How This Actually Works

We deliver seven days a week to Kuta. Morning, afternoon, early evening if you need it. Same day delivery works if you order before noon. After that it depends but usually we can still make it happen. I'll tell you honestly what's possible.

Hotel deliveries are straightforward. Villa deliveries need better directions. If you have Google Maps coordinates send them, it saves Kadek a lot of guessing. Cards are always included, I write them by hand. Whatever message you want.

Most of our Kuta orders come from people not in Bali. Australia mostly, which makes sense given how many Australians holiday in Kuta. But also Singapore, Europe, America. If you're ordering from a different time zone just tell me when you need it delivered in Bali time, I'll figure it out.

Why Order From Us

There are lots of florists servicing Kuta now. I can't promise you the world, I can promise you me making your flowers and Kadek delivering them and both of us caring about whether this works out for you.

We've been doing this since 2013. When you order from Sunny Florist Bali you're getting a small business that's survived twelve years in Bali. You're getting flowers made by someone who learned from her grandmother, worked hotels for years, opened her own place and somehow hasn't messed it up yet.

We're not fancy. We're not huge. It's just us, doing what we're good at, trying to make people happy one bouquet at a time. If you need flowers in Kuta, we're here.
