Most people order flowers for someone in Bali. Some people order hampers. The difference is usually the person. A hamper works for someone who has everything, someone recovering in a villa, someone who does not care about flowers but absolutely cares about chocolate, strawberries, and a candle that smells like frangipani.
My name is Ayu. I have run Sunny Florist Bali for twelve years. The hampers on this page are things I put together myself, sourcing from Bali's local markets and trusted Indonesian suppliers. Everything is assembled here in my studio and delivered same day to anywhere on the island, from Seminyak and Canggu through to Ubud and Uluwatu. Order by 3pm for same day. No minimum spend on delivery.
From Ayu
Twelve years of delivering things to villas and resorts teaches you two problems nobody mentions on other hamper sites.
"Chocolate in Bali is a different problem to chocolate anywhere else. The daily temperature sits between 28 and 34 degrees Celsius, and a hamper sitting at a hotel reception while the guest is at the beach can reach 38 degrees inside a basket if it is in afternoon sun. Milk chocolate starts softening at 30 degrees. By 35, it moves. I learned early that the choice of chocolate matters. Delfi is Indonesian, it is made for this climate, and it holds. Imported European chocolate in Bali heat is a risk I stopped taking. When I include international brands like Tim Tams or Walkers Shortbread, I pack them with an ice block specifically because they were not designed for 33-degree rooms."
"This is why I ask customers to include delivery instructions when the recipient is not at their villa. If someone is out for the day, I need to know where the hamper waits. A shaded reception versus an outdoor guardpost in full afternoon sun is the difference between the hamper arriving as I packed it and arriving as something else."
"The coconut candles in the Luxury Hamper are made by a small family workshop in Ubud I have been buying from for eight years. Coconut wax is a Balinese craft tradition. It burns cooler than paraffin, which matters in a hot room, and it holds frangipani scent better than most waxes because coconut absorbs fragrance oil differently. The frangipani connection to Bali is not marketing. Frangipani grows at the entrance of every temple here. The scent has a specific cultural weight. I get asked regularly if I can substitute the candle scent. Technically yes. But I always tell customers that frangipani in Bali is not just a candle smell, it is a place smell, and most people who receive it understand that immediately."
"The hampers I source locally, from Ubud candlemakers to Indonesian chocolate to Bali fruit markets, hold up better in this climate and the money stays here."
What to Send
The difference between the hampers is not just price. Each one suits a different type of person and a different reason for sending. This is my honest guide.
For a Bali birthday the Luxury Hamper is the one people come back to. It has enough items that the recipient spends ten minutes unpacking it, which is the point. If the birthday person drinks wine, the Cheese, Fruit and Wine Hamper covers a full celebration. For something lighter, the Chocolate Hamper or the Massage package both work well for a single person who is mid-trip.
The Bottles of Red, White and Sparkling with Flowers is the most ordered hamper for anniversaries. Wine and flowers together signal celebration clearly. The Massage, Roses and Chocolates package is the other strong choice here, particularly if one partner is organising a surprise for the other. A traditional Balinese massage lasts an hour and costs the recipient nothing on the day. That is harder to forget than a box of chocolates.
For someone unwell or recovering at BIMC Hospital, Siloam Hospital, or resting at a villa, the Fruit Hamper is the most appropriate option. Fresh tropical fruit, nothing that requires effort from someone who is not feeling well. The Chocolate Hamper also works for lighter recovery. I avoid sending wine or candles to hospital rooms; the Fruit Hamper is what I always suggest for that context. One note for the recipient: tropical fruit in Bali's heat lasts two days at room temperature. Refrigerate it on arrival and it keeps for five.
The Chocolate Hamper at $80 is the workhorse of the range for apology and thank-you situations. It reads as considered without being excessive. For a more personal thank you, the Luxury Hamper's layered items make it feel like real thought went in. The Yummy Chocolates at $15 work for a quick gesture that does not need to be elaborate.
Many of my hamper orders come from people who are not in Bali themselves, sending to a friend or partner who is. The practical notes: order before 3pm Bali time, include the recipient's exact villa or hotel address, and add a WhatsApp number for the recipient in case I need to coordinate access. For Denpasar, Nusa Dua, and resort areas, I work with the front desk. For private villas, a contact number makes delivery far smoother.
Tell me one thing about the person receiving it and I will tell you which hamper. Call or message me on the number below. One question from me and you will have a clear answer. I have been doing this for twelve years and I have yet to find a person who does not fit somewhere in the range.
Ordering
All hampers are delivered the same day to anywhere in Bali, including Kuta, Legian, Sanur, Tabanan, Tanah Lot, Kerobokan, Berawa, and all surrounding areas. Delivery is $9 flat. Order before 3pm for same day. I set the 3pm cutoff for hampers because they take longer to assemble than a bouquet. Fresh fruit needs to be checked, chocolates need ice packs in the heat of the day, and candles need wrapping that protects them in transit. An order at 4pm does not give me the time to do that properly, so it goes out the following morning.
