A German woman WhatsApped me last month from Berlin. Her boyfriend had just moved to Batu Bolong, rented a villa for six months to "figure things out" which apparently meant surfing and working remotely. His birthday was coming up, she couldn't be there, wanted to organize something special. Could we deliver flowers the morning of his birthday along with champagne?

I don't sell champagne but I know someone who does. We coordinated everything, Kadek delivered it all around 9am while the guy was still sleeping off the previous night's birthday pre-celebrations at Old Man's. He woke up to flowers and champagne and a card from his girlfriend saying she'd fly over next month.
