You don't know what colour she likes. You can't see the villa. You're ordering from another country and you cannot get this wrong. Four colours fixes that. Hot pink, soft pink, yellow, and white roses and around thirty stems packed into a dark charcoal vase with no filler flowers, no other flower types, just roses. A man in Wollongong sent this to his wife's yoga retreat in Pererenan at 9pm on a Tuesday. By 8:22am she was crying into her breakfast and he looked like he'd been planning it for weeks. $45. Same day delivery anywhere in Bali. Order now.

Description

Hot pink, soft pink, yellow, and white roses packed into a dark charcoal ceramic vase. Around thirty stems depending on market availability, all at different stages of opening. Tight buds sitting beside half-cupped blooms sitting beside roses with their spiral centres already showing. No other flower types in this product. No filler, no calla lilies, no chrysanthemums. Roses and dark green foliage in four colours. The dome spreads wider than the vase rim on every side and the matte charcoal base grounds every colour equally without competing with any of them. Sixty-fourth across all of Bali.

$45.00 USD. Same day delivery, seven days a week, across all Bali locations including Uluwatu, Canggu, Nusa Dua, Seminyak, Kuta and Ubud. Mixed roses in four colours, dark charcoal ceramic vase, green foliage throughout.

What Arrives

Four colours of roses. The hot pinks are vivid cerise, almost magenta, and they catch the eye first from across a room. The soft pinks sit a full shade warmer than the hot pinks with a salmon quality that reads as a different flower entirely when the two sit side by side. The yellows are bright butter-toned and they create the widest colour contrast against the pinks. The whites anchor the palette. They sit between the louder colours and give the eye a place to rest.

The roses arrive at mixed stages of openness and that is deliberate. Tight buds with their petals still curled. Half-open blooms with layered petals forming a cup shape. A few more relaxed flowers with their centres visible. The variation creates a garden-gathered quality rather than a uniform shelf display. Over the following days, the buds open and the arrangement fills further. What arrives on day one is less full than what the recipient sees on day three.

Dark green glossy foliage threads between the roses at the same height as the blooms. The leaves are broad and visible from every angle, filling gaps and creating a green layer that connects the four rose colours across the dome. The vase is matte charcoal ceramic, tapered from a wider rim down to a narrower base. The dark neutral tone disappears behind the roses, which is the point. A white or clear vase would add another colour. The charcoal adds nothing except stability and a base that lets the roses do the talking.

Saturday Night at Motel Mexicola

We delivered this product to Motel Mexicola on Jl. Kayu Aya in Seminyak for a 30th birthday three weeks ago. Mexicola is loud. Pink and turquoise walls, neon signage, mariachi-print tiles, tequila list longer than the food menu. The kind of venue where red roses would look like they wandered in from a different restaurant. The birthday group had booked a long table near the back courtyard. Eight people, margaritas already ordered, streamers taped to the wall by a friend who arrived early.

The woman who ordered this product chose it specifically because of the four colours. She told me "I need something that won't disappear against all the pink walls." Fair point. A single-colour bouquet at Mexicola would vanish into the decor. The mixed roses held their own. The yellow and white popped against the pink tiles. The cerise roses matched the venue walls close enough to look intentional. Kadek delivered at 6:45pm, fifteen minutes before the birthday girl arrived. The staff at Mexicola placed the vase at the centre of the table. By the time the second round of margaritas landed, the birthday girl had taken four photos of the flowers and posted one to her story with a location tag. Mexicola reposted it. You cannot buy that kind of advertising for $45.

I had a concierge at Padma Resort Legian ask me once: "The guest ordered mixed flowers but she didn't say what colour. What do I tell the room attendant?" I told him he does not need to tell the room attendant anything. That is the whole point of mixed. When someone sends flowers to a resort and they are not sure whether the recipient prefers pink or yellow or white, they have two choices. Guess and risk getting it wrong. Or send four colours and let the recipient decide which one they like most. I have delivered this product to rooms at Padma, at Conrad Bali in Tanjung Benoa, and at Alila in Ungasan. The reaction is always the same. Nobody has ever said "there are too many colours." They say it looks like somebody thought about it.

How Four Colours Behave Differently in Bali Sun

Something I learned after twelve years of building mixed rose arrangements in a tropical climate: the four colours do not age at the same speed. The pigments that create pink and cerise in rose petals break down faster under direct sunlight than the pigments in yellow or white petals. In Bali, eight degrees south of the equator, the UV index sits between ten and twelve almost every day of the year. That is roughly double what London or Melbourne sees in summer and it runs year-round here without a winter dip.

The practical result is that a mixed arrangement in a Bali villa changes its colour balance over the course of five days. On day one all four colours sit equally distributed. By day three the hot pinks have softened by a shade or two while the yellows are still holding at full saturation. By day five the arrangement leans warmer. More yellow and cream, less cerise. The whites stay neutral throughout. That shifting palette is part of what makes mixed roses more interesting than single-colour bunches over their vase life. The arrangement you see on Monday is not the same arrangement you see on Thursday and both are beautiful for different reasons.

My advice for this product: keep it out of direct sunlight entirely and the colour balance holds for a full week. An air-conditioned room is ideal. If the recipient places it on a villa terrace or a hotel balcony where it catches afternoon sun, the pinks will move first. I mention this when I deliver to resorts because hotel staff sometimes place flowers near windows for the photograph and leave them there. The photograph costs three days of vase life. I ask room attendants to place the vase on a bedside table or a bathroom vanity where the light is indirect.

People compare this product to the 12 Mixed Roses with 3 Calla Lilies because they are the same price. Both are $45. Both have mixed-colour roses. The difference is intent. The calla version gives you twelve roses plus three white trumpets that add height and structure. It looks designed. This product gives you roughly double the rose count with no other flower competing for attention. It is pure volume. If the sender wants elegance and architecture, the calla version is the right call. If the sender wants a table full of colour that makes someone say "look at all those roses," this is the one. I sell both in roughly equal numbers and almost never to the same customer. The person who wants callas and the person who wants thirty roses are thinking about flowers in completely different ways.

The WhatsApp from Wollongong

A man messaged me on WhatsApp at 9pm on a Tuesday. His wife was at a yoga retreat in Pererenan with three of her friends. Her birthday was the following morning. He wanted flowers delivered to the villa before they woke up. He said he had been looking at the website for forty minutes and could not decide on a colour because he did not know what colour the villa interior was and did not want the flowers to clash.

I told him that was the most thoughtful reason for indecision I had heard that month. I suggested this product. Four colours. Guaranteed to match at least one thing in any room. He laughed, sent a thumbs-up emoji, and paid within two minutes. Kadek delivered at 7:15am the next morning. The villa manager placed the vase on the dining table. I received a photo back on WhatsApp at 8:22am from the wife with the message: "How did he know?" followed by three crying-face emojis. I forwarded the screenshot to the husband. He replied: "Tell her I have taste." I still have that thread saved on my phone. It cost him $45 and ten minutes of WhatsApp at 9pm on a Tuesday. His wife thinks he spent weeks planning it.

Where This Product Goes

Restaurant birthdays. Birthday deliveries to villas in Canggu and Seminyak where the sender is ordering from overseas and does not know the decor. Mother's Day orders from adult children in Australia, the UK, and the US who want colour without choosing a single shade. Apology flowers where the sender needs something bigger than a single rose but does not want the romantic weight of red. Group celebration deliveries to Bingin and Tuban surf houses where the vase sits on a shared kitchen bench and four colours suit four different people at the table. Thank-you flowers after a Bali holiday where the sender wants to gift their host or villa staff something cheerful. Anniversary deliveries to couples who have been together long enough that red roses feel predictable and they prefer the energy of mixed colour.

We opened the shop on Jl. Camplung Tanduk in Seminyak in 2013 and this mixed rose bunch was one of the first products I built because I needed something that worked for every occasion without asking the customer to make a colour decision. Twelve years later it still solves the same problem. When someone sends a message that says "I don't know what she likes" or "I'm not sure what colour the room is" or "just send something happy," this is the product I recommend. Four colours covers every gap. Browse the full rose range or see the complete bouquet collection. For single-colour alternatives, the 12 Pink Roses at $38 or the 12 Red Roses at $38 offer a more specific mood at a lower price. For something beyond roses, see the arrangement collection or the full catalogue.

Care

The roses arrive arranged in the vase. Top up the water on day two and change the water completely on day three. Trim all stems at a diagonal when changing the water. This reopens the drinking channels that seal over after the first cut. Remove any foliage that has slipped below the waterline because submerged leaves breed bacteria that clogs the stems and shortens the vase life by two or three days. Keep the vase away from direct sunlight, fruit bowls, and air conditioning vents blowing directly onto the arrangement. The hot pink and cerise roses will soften in colour before the yellows and whites. This is normal. As individual roses finish over the course of six to eight days, remove them and the remaining blooms will spread to fill the space. The yellows tend to hold longest.
