Description

A one-hour full body massage delivered to the recipient's door, twelve mixed roses in a red gift box with ribbon, and a box of chocolates included free. Three gifts in one order covering three different senses. The roses arrive first. The massage therapist arrives separately at the scheduled time. The chocolates sit waiting for after. Eighteenth most popular product across all of Bali.

$60.95 USD. Same day delivery, seven days a week, across all Bali locations including Ubud, Seminyak, Canggu, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Sanur. One hour Balinese massage, twelve mixed roses in gift box, free chocolates.

What Arrives

The roses come in a red gift box with a ribbon tied at the top. Twelve stems in mixed colours. Red, pink, and yellow roses visible across the arrangement, with green foliage filling the space between. The roses sit at different stages of opening so the arrangement changes shape over the following days as tighter buds spread. The box and ribbon give the flowers a wrapped-gift quality rather than the hand-tied bunch look of other rose products in the collection.

The chocolates are an assorted box included free with the order. Same supplier we use across all chocolate combo products, chosen specifically because the shell holds in Bali's heat. The chocolates travel alongside the roses in the same delivery.

The massage is a separate booking. Kadek coordinates the therapist directly after the flower delivery is confirmed. The recipient gets a one-hour traditional Balinese massage at their villa, hotel room, or Airbnb. The therapist brings the table, the oils, and the towels. Nothing required from the recipient except a flat space and an hour.

How the Three Parts Work Together

Most flower orders create one moment. The doorbell rings. The recipient opens the box. That is the peak. Everything after is vase life.

This product creates three separate moments spread across a few hours. The roses arrive mid-morning. That is moment one. The recipient puts them on the table, takes a photo, sends a thank-you message. Moment two is the massage. A therapist shows up at the agreed time, sets up in the living room or bedroom, and for the next hour the recipient is face-down on a table with warm hands pressing knots out of their shoulders. Moment three happens after the massage. The recipient stands up slow, loose-limbed and half-asleep, walks past the roses that have been sitting in water while they were being worked on, and finds a box of chocolates waiting.

The ordering is deliberate. Flowers first because they set the emotional tone before the therapist arrives. Massage second because you cannot enjoy a massage if you are holding a bouquet. Chocolates third because after an hour of relaxation the last thing someone wants is to make a decision about what to eat. The chocolate is already there.

Villa in Ubud, Tuesday Afternoon

We delivered this to a private villa off Jl. Bisma in Ubud three weeks ago. A woman from Bristol in England had ordered it for her mother who was staying in Bali for six weeks after retiring. The daughter could not be there for the birthday so she wanted something that would fill more than ten minutes of the day. A bunch of roses arrives, gets photographed, and then what? The mother is alone in a villa in the middle of a rice paddy. She wanted her mum to have something that lasted hours.

The roses were delivered at 10am. The therapist arrived at 1pm. When I called the daughter that evening to confirm everything went smoothly, she laughed and said her mother had phoned her immediately after the massage and talked for forty minutes straight. The mother had described the massage in detail, described the roses, described the chocolates she ate in bed afterward, described the view from the massage table of the rice terraces across the valley. She said it was the best birthday she could remember. Six weeks alone in Ubud at sixty-three years old and her daughter in Bristol made the day feel full from ten in the morning until she fell asleep at eight.

Ay Ayu Owner, Sunny Florist Bali

I added the massage to the product line in 2016 after the same request came through three times in one week. Three separate customers asked if I knew anyone who could arrange a massage alongside their flower order. Two were husbands ordering for anniversaries. One was a daughter ordering for her mother. The pattern was identical every time: they wanted to send something that could not be photographed and forwarded in two seconds. Flowers are visual. Chocolates are quick. A massage is an hour of someone else's time dedicated to making the recipient feel good. That hour changes the nature of the gift from "here is a thing" to "here is an experience." I partnered with a therapist I had known since 2014 who runs a mobile service across south Bali and into Gianyar. She trained in traditional Balinese massage in Denpasar and she has been doing villa call-outs for over a decade. Her name comes up in more guest reviews than mine does.

Roses in Warm Rooms

The one thing most people do not think about when ordering flowers alongside a massage is where the roses end up sitting during the session. Massage therapists work in warm rooms. Doors closed. Air conditioning off because cool air tightens muscles. Oil vapour in the air. A room set up for a massage runs three or four degrees warmer than the rest of the villa.

If the roses sit in that room for the full hour, the heat accelerates petal opening and shortens the vase life by a day or more. The fix takes ten seconds. Put the roses in the coolest room in the villa before the massage starts. A kitchen bench near a window. A bedroom with the AC still running. Anywhere that is not the room where the therapist is heating oil and closing curtains. After the massage, bring the roses back into the living space. They will be cold, fresh, and still tight. The heat-opened roses in the massage room age faster than roses that spend that same hour in water at room temperature.

Ay Ayu Running Sunny Florist Bali since 2013

I learned this the hard way in the first month of selling the massage combo. A customer in Seminyak complained that the roses looked "tired" by the evening even though they had been delivered fresh that morning. I went back through the timeline. Kadek delivered the roses at 9am. The therapist arrived at 11am. The recipient put the roses on the coffee table in the same room as the massage. Doors closed for an hour. Curtains drawn. Oil warmed. By 1pm the outer petals on the red and pink roses had spread wider than they should have for a six-hour-old bouquet. The room was running at thirty-one or thirty-two degrees with no airflow. That is enough to push a rose through two days of opening in sixty minutes. Now I include a note with every massage combo order: keep the flowers in a cool room during the session. Simple advice but it saves two days of vase life.

A WhatsApp at 11pm From a Fiancé in Toronto

I got a WhatsApp message at 11pm on a Wednesday from a man in Toronto. His fiancée was at a surf camp in Canggu with four friends for what he called a "pre-wedding girls' trip." Her birthday fell on the Thursday. He had been planning something for two weeks and had already ordered a cake from a bakery in Berawa. He wanted to add flowers and a massage. The cake was arriving at the surf camp at noon. He wanted the roses there by 10am so they would already be on the table when the cake showed up. And he wanted the massage in the late afternoon so she could unwind after a day of birthday chaos.

I told him the roses would be there by 9:30. The massage was booked for 4pm at the camp. He asked if the therapist could set up on the rooftop deck because the surf camp had a deck overlooking the rice paddies. I confirmed with the therapist. She had done call-outs to that camp before and knew the space.

The next morning I received a voice note from the fiancée. She was crying. Happy crying. She said she had woken up and gone downstairs to find red, pink, and yellow roses on the kitchen bench with chocolates and a card. Then the cake arrived at noon. Then at 4pm a woman showed up with a massage table and oils and said "your fiancé in Toronto sends his love." The fiancée said the other four women at the camp immediately asked if I did group bookings. I said yes. Two of them ordered the same product for their partners within the week. One sent it to Kerobokan. The other to a villa in Umalas.

Who Orders This

Partners sending from overseas. This is the product people choose when flowers alone feel like they are not enough and they want the recipient to have a full afternoon, not just a delivery. Birthday orders make up the majority. Anniversary orders come second. A smaller number are apology orders from partners who know they need to do more than the minimum.

Resort deliveries to Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, and Jimbaran where the recipient is staying in a villa with a private terrace. Hotel room deliveries work too but the massage therapist needs enough space to set up a table, which means suites and junior suites rather than standard rooms. Kadek confirms space with the front desk before booking the therapist.

Villa deliveries across Pererenan, Batu Bolong, and Canggu where the long-stay digital nomad and surf crowd tend to book villas with open-plan living rooms that give the therapist space to work. Airbnb deliveries to Denpasar and Legian where the sender has the address but no idea about the layout. We check in advance.

I started Sunny Florist Bali in 2013 on Jl. Camplung Tanduk in Seminyak selling roses and arrangements. By 2016 I had figured out that some customers wanted to send an experience, not an object. The massage combo was the first product I built that could not be put in a vase. It is still the only product where the gift touches the recipient. Every other product in the full catalogue is something to look at. This one is something to feel. Browse the bouquet collection for flowers-only options, or see the gifts and extras for other experience-style products. For a roses-only alternative at a lower price, see the Mixed Rose Bunch at $45 or the 12 Pink Roses at $38.

Care

The roses arrive in the gift box with water at the base. Leave them in the box for display or transfer to a vase. If transferring, trim all stems at a diagonal with a clean cut. Change the water on day two. The mixed colours fade at different rates. Reds and pinks soften in colour before yellows. As individual roses finish over five to seven days, remove them and the remaining blooms spread to fill the gap. Keep away from the massage room during sessions, direct sunlight, and fruit bowls. Refrigerate the chocolates if they are not being eaten immediately and let them sit for five minutes at room temperature before opening for full flavour.

Delivery

Same day delivery across all areas of Bali. Roses and chocolates are delivered together. The massage is booked separately and coordinated by Kadek after the flower delivery is confirmed.
