Description
Three red roses in pink paper with a box of assorted chocolates beside them. Flowers for the eyes and the nose. Chocolates for the mouth. Two senses covered by the roses. Three senses covered by the pair. This is our twelfth most popular product across Bali and third most popular to Ubud.
$36.00 USD. Same day delivery, seven days a week, across all Bali locations including Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, Ubud, Denpasar and Nusa Dua. Roses arrive wrapped with a box of assorted chocolates.
What's Inside
Three red roses, fully open, wrapped in pink tissue paper in a cone presentation. Rose foliage sits between the blooms inside the wrap. The stems are long and visible below the paper. Beside the wrapped roses sits a rectangular box of assorted chocolates, a mix of shapes and types including milk and dark varieties. The box is open-topped so the recipient sees the selection immediately on arrival.
The pink wrap is specific to this product. Our 3 Roses + Teddy Bear comes in green paper. Our 1 Rose + Teddy Bear comes in blue. Pink was chosen for this one because it sits closer to the red of the roses than green or blue does, and the warmer tone matches the brown and gold of the chocolate box. The whole package reads as warm rather than cool.
Why Chocolates Beat the Bear to Ubud
We sell both the 3 Roses + Teddy Bear and this product side by side. The bear version ranks nineteenth Bali-wide. The chocolate version ranks twelfth. And to Ubud specifically, this product is third overall. That gap tells a story about who is buying and why.
Ubud's customer base skews toward couples, retreat visitors, and longer-stay travellers. These are people who share a room, share a meal, share a day. Chocolates are a shared gift in a way that a teddy bear is not. A bear sits on one person's side of the bed. A box of chocolates opens on the table between two people. The person who received them offers one to the person who sent them and the gift becomes a shared moment. That communal quality is what pushes this product past the bear version in Ubud, where most orders are between partners who are both present.
"People assume chocolates and roses together is a cliché. It's not. It's the most popular flower-and-food pairing in the world for a reason that has nothing to do with tradition. Flowers engage two senses at most. Sight and smell. Chocolates add taste and touch. When you hand someone roses and chocolates together, their brain processes four sensory channels at once and that creates a stronger memory than any single gift can. I read about this in a hospitality magazine years ago and it changed how I think about gift combos. The hotel I worked at started pairing welcome flowers with a plate of local sweets for VIP guests. The feedback scores went up immediately. Not because the flowers were better or the sweets were expensive. Because the combination hit more senses than either one alone."
The Chocolate Box
The chocolates are assorted. Milk, dark, and filled varieties in a single box. We source them locally and the specific selection rotates based on what's available, but the box always includes a mix rather than a single type. The reasoning is the same as the reasoning behind Marley being a sampler arrangement. When you don't know what someone prefers, variety covers every preference. Some people reach for the dark chocolate first. Some go for the filled ones. A mixed box lets them choose.
Chocolate and Bali's heat are a real consideration. The box is packaged to travel and Kadek prioritises chocolate deliveries in the morning run or during cooler hours where scheduling allows. The chocolates arrive in solid form. If the delivery sits in afternoon sun at a doorstep for an hour, that's a different story, but that applies to any chocolate product anywhere in the tropics. For villa deliveries where someone is home to receive, the chocolates arrive exactly as they should.
Three Senses at $36
At $36.00 USD, this is the most affordable multi-sensory gift in the collection. The 3 Roses + Teddy Bear costs $41 and gives you a keepsake that lasts years but only engages sight and touch. This product costs $5 less and adds taste. The chocolates are consumed, the roses fade, and nothing physical remains. That sounds like a disadvantage until you consider what does remain. The memory of opening a box, choosing a chocolate, and eating it while looking at three red roses is a complete sensory experience. Keepsakes sit on shelves. Experiences sit in memory. Both have value. This product bets on the experience.
"I price-tested this product three times before settling on $36. The first time I set it at $45 because that's what the flower-plus-gift products were trending at. It barely sold. I dropped it to $40 and it picked up slightly. At $36 it took off. The difference was the psychology of the number. Anything above $40 and people compare it to a proper arrangement like Sami or Kyla at $47 and they think they should spend the extra $7 for a bigger flower display. Below $40, the product sits in a different mental category. It stops competing with the arrangements and starts competing with a box of chocolates from a shop, which costs $15 to $20 on its own. Three roses and a full chocolate box for $36 suddenly looks generous. That $4 gap between $36 and $40 changed everything."
Who Sends 3 Roses + Chocolates
Couples in Ubud sending to each other's villa or hotel room. Partners surprising each other during a retreat or holiday. Valentine's Day senders who want something sweet in both senses. Birthday gifts from friends overseas. Anniversary gestures where the sender wants the recipient to have something to enjoy immediately, not just something to look at.
The Ubud ranking (third overall) reflects the retreat-and-wellness market. People visiting Ubud for yoga, healing, and quiet time respond to gifts that involve experience rather than objects. Roses and chocolates is an experience. Roses and a teddy bear is an object. Both work. But Ubud leans toward the experience.
For the keepsake version, see 3 Roses + Teddy Bear at $41. For a bigger chocolate gift, browse our hamper collection. For roses without a gift pairing, see the full rose range.
Care
Unwrap the roses and place them in a glass or vase with fresh water. Trim stems at an angle. Change the water every two days. The roses hold for three to five days. The chocolates keep best stored in a cool spot indoors. If they've softened during transit, ten minutes in an air-conditioned room or a brief spell in a fridge will set them back to their original texture.
