12 Red Roses Bunch

Same Day Delivery
$38.00
+

Twelve red roses in a hand-tied bunch with dark glossy foliage. No paper. No box. Stems in a spiral, ready to drop into a vase. Fourth most popular product across all of Bali and the single most ordered product in Canggu. The same price as twelve pink roses but ranked fourth overall versus fifteenth. The gap comes down to one thing. Red roses carry a universal meaning that requires zero interpretation. No ambiguity. No subtlety to decode. No colour symbolism to research. The message arrived before the flowers did. The foliage was tested in three versions over six months before finding a dark glossy leaf that reflects light, stays lower than the rose heads, and does one job only: makes the red louder. Number one in Canggu where the international population sends the most traditional product in the collection because clarity beats creativity when the sender is overseas. $38 USD, same day delivery across Bali, seven days a week.

Description

Twelve red roses in a hand-tied bunch. No paper. No box. No accessories. Just roses and foliage, stems gathered in a spiral, ready to drop into a vase. This is our fourth most popular product across all of Bali and the single most ordered product in Canggu.

$38.00 USD. Same day delivery, seven days a week, across all Bali locations including Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, Ubud, Denpasar and Nusa Dua. Arrives as a hand-tied bunch without wrapping.

What's Inside

Twelve red roses in deep classic red. Partially open with the centres visible but not yet fully unfurled. The stems are gathered in a spiral below the tie point and fan outward at the base, which means the bunch stands upright on its stems without support if placed on a flat surface. Dark glossy green leaves are mixed through the bouquet at intervals, framing the roses. A few wisps of decorative grass thread through the upper section for texture. The foliage sits lower than the rose heads so the red reads clean from every angle.

Number One in Canggu

Out of every product in the collection, this is the one Canggu orders more than any other. Not the $47 arrangements. Not the tropical heliconia. Not the gift combos with bears or chocolates. Twelve red roses at $38.

Canggu is the area that should, by all logic, order the most "creative" products. It has the youngest expat demographic, the most design-forward interiors, the most Instagram-documented lifestyle of any area we deliver to. And yet the product they order most is the one that has looked the same for a hundred years in every country on earth. Twelve red roses. That tells you something about the power of a clear signal.

The people ordering in Canggu are international. Australian, European, American, Southeast Asian. They come from different gift cultures with different flower conventions. Twelve red roses cuts through all of it. There is no country where twelve red roses means something ambiguous. The message is the same in every language. The sender does not need to wonder if the recipient will understand what it means. They will.

Ay Ayu Owner, Sunny Florist Bali

People tell Ayu that red roses are predictable and she agrees with them. That is exactly the point. Predictability is the feature. When a sender chooses twelve red roses, the recipient does not spend a single second wondering what the flowers mean. There is no ambiguity to decode, no subtlety to interpret, no colour symbolism to research. The meaning arrived before the flowers did. Every other product in the collection requires the recipient to figure out the intention. White could be sympathy or celebration. Pink could be friendship or romance. A mixed arrangement could be anything. Red roses are the only product where the message and the medium are the same thing. Ayu has watched customers agonise over colour choices for twenty minutes and then order red roses. They come back to it because certainty has value, especially when the sender is overseas and cannot explain the choice in person.

Red vs Pink at $38

We sell 12 Pink Roses at the same $38 price point. Same stem count. Same hand-tied technique. Different colour, different message, different market. The pink version ranks fifteenth. This red version ranks fourth. The gap is enormous and it comes down to one thing. Red is unambiguous. Pink is beautiful but it carries a range of possible meanings. Friendship, admiration, gratitude, romance. The sender has to trust that the recipient reads pink the way they intended. With red, that trust is unnecessary. Red says one thing. Everyone knows what it is.

The pink roses sell better in areas where the sender and recipient know each other well enough that the meaning doesn't need to be declared. The red roses sell better in areas with transient populations, international visitors, and long-distance relationships where clarity matters more than subtlety. Canggu has all three.

The Foliage Frame

The dark glossy leaves in this bouquet are not filler. They are a frame. A red rose surrounded by green reads as more saturated than the same red rose photographed against white or grey. The green creates a contrast boundary that sharpens the edge of the red. The eye registers where green ends and red begins, and that sharp edge makes the red look deeper and richer.

The foliage sits deliberately lower than the rose heads. From above, the bouquet reads as a dome of red. From the side, the green creates a collar that frames the blooms. If the foliage were at the same height as the roses, the green would break the red dome and the bouquet would read as a mixed-green arrangement with roses in it rather than a rose bouquet with a green frame. The difference is a centimetre or two of stem height between the foliage and the blooms.

Ay Ayu Owner, Sunny Florist Bali

"I changed the foliage in this product three times before I settled on what you see now. The first version used fern, the same asparagus fern I use in Sienna. It was too soft. The fine texture made the roses look heavy and the bouquet photographed as a dark mass. The second version used croton leaves with the red and yellow variegation. Too busy. The eye couldn't decide whether to look at the leaves or the roses. The third version, this one, uses a single type of dark glossy leaf that reflects light but has no colour variation. The gloss picks up room light so the foliage looks alive rather than flat. And the solid dark green does one job only. It makes the red louder. I spent six months on those three versions before the product looked the way it does now."

Who Sends 12 Red Roses

Partners sending from overseas. Valentine's Day senders who want the classic. Anniversary orders where red is the tradition. Long-distance relationships where the flowers need to say everything the sender cannot say in person. First-time senders who are not sure what to order and default to the one product whose meaning is universal.

The fourth most popular product overall and the top seller in Canggu. At $38 it sits at the same price as our 12 Pink Roses and below every $47 arrangement in the collection. For less than the cost of two cocktails in Canggu, the sender gets twelve hand-selected red roses delivered to any address in Bali on the same day.

For more roses, see 20 Pink Roses + Teddy at $68. For red roses in an arrangement, try the 6 Red Rose Arrangement at $35 or the Rose Heart at $85. Browse the full rose range or see our bouquets.

Care

Trim all stems at an angle and place in a vase with fresh water. The spiral tie means the bunch holds its dome shape in the vase without rearranging. Change the water every two days. The roses will open further over days two and three and hold through day five. Keep out of direct sun. Red roses lose pigment faster in sunlight than any other colour, so a shaded spot indoors will keep the colour deep for longer.
